Mombasa explosion: Twin EXPLOSIONS in Mombasa and 3 people feared DEAD – It could be AL-SHABAAB

Saturday May 3, 2014 - News just
in indicates that there have been
two blasts in Mombasa this
Saturday evening.
One explosion was inside a Chania
Bus in Mwembe Tayari in
Mombasa while the other was in
Nyali’s Reef Hotel.
Three people are feared dead and
scores seriously injured from the
two explosions.
One passenger allegedly entered a
Chania Bus with a hand held
grenade at Mwembe Tayari and
hurled it, killing three on the spot
and injuring several others.
In the second incident, a bag was
left at the Reef Hotel with an
Improvised Explosive Device (IED)
before it went off. However, no
death has been reported.
So far no one has claimed
responsibility but preliminary
reports indicate that it could be a
terror attack.
The injured were taken to Coast
Provincial General Hospital and
doctors say some are in critical
condition and the number of the
dead is expected to rise.
The Chania bus was arriving from
Nairobi and it is believed one of
the casualties is the suicide
bomber.
Police have sealed the two areas
and other security organs are on
high alert.
Mombasa police boss, Robert
Kitur, and County Commissioner,
Nelson Marwa, are already at the
scene.
More to follow…..

Prophet says bloodier AL- SHABAAB attack in Kenya soon - predicted Pangani Blast

Renowned
Nigerian televangelist and
Prophet, TB Joshua, has once
again prophesied that Kenya will
be hit by more terrorist attacks in
a few days to come.
Joshua, who recently predicted
about the missing Malaysian
plane that came to pass, warned
that the upcoming Al-Shabaab
terror attacks will be more deadly
and bloodier than last year’s
Westgate terror attack where 67
people died while hundreds were
injured.
The man of God, who is well
known in Kenya for his accurate
prophesies, should be taken
seriously because he also
predicted the Pangani car blast
that killed four people including 2
police officers.
He noted that God had shown him
some revelation about Kenya of
some strangers hibernating in
Kenya but ready to cause
murderous havoc.
However, he said he has kept
Kenya in his prayers but asked its
citizens to be vigilant and the
Jubilee Government to beef up
security.
“Kenya - I kept praying for
them”, said Joshua.
“Two weeks ago, I was seeing
some revelation concerning
Kenya. Some strange people, they
are in the town. They should
pray and tighten their security
very well”, he added.
He said Al-Shabaab’s mission is to
make Kenya an example and
make headlines locally and
internationally but said he will
pray to God not to allow this to
happen.

Big blow to LUO Nyanza as EU plans to ban fish from Lake Victoria over defecation. Kisumu Lakeside

Fish
from Lake Victoria may soon be
locked out of the European Union
(EU) market due to poor hygiene,
despite Sh648 million being
allocated to clean up beaches.
The money which was donated by
the EU was to be used at fish-
landing sites along Lake Victoria
and to educate residents on
dangers of defecating in the lake.
But despite using the huge chunk
of money to educate residents on
cleanliness and good hygiene, the
fish which comes out of the lake
is contaminated.
The EU is the largest consumer of
Kenyan fish and has threatened to
ban exports from Lake Victoria
until hygiene conditions are
improved.
Fish from six beaches, Luanda
Kotieno (Rarieda), Wichlum
(Bondo), Ogal (Kisumu West)
Nyandiwa (Gwassi), Mainuga
(Karachuonyo) and Usenge
(Bondo), may be affected if the
ban is enforced.
This means the region will lose
more than Sh.6.5 billion shillings
which comes from exporting fish
to EU.
The move will also render more
than 50,000 fishermen operating
about 13,000 boats jobless.
